32-year-old lady, came to us with right ear discomfort and itchiness for about two weeks. She had seen other doctor before and was prescribe oral antibiotics and antibiotic ear drop.

However, symptoms did not improve.

Otoscopy in our clinic showed otomycosis. She has normal hearing.

CASE 3: ACUTE OTITIS EXTERNA OF THE RIGHT EAR:

Otoscopy showed inflamed right ear canal

35-year-old lady presented with intense right sided earache for 2 days, associated with low grade fever. Hearing was normal.

Otoscopy showed very much inflamed right ear canal with minimally visualized tympanic membrane.

She was prescribed Tablet Co-Amoxiclav(Augmentin) for a week along with antibiotic ear drop.

Her symptoms improved and recovered after completion of the antibiotics.

CASE 4: IMPACTED EAR WAX:

We see many clients came in with complaints of blocked ear, pain or reduced hearing. More often than not, its a simple impacted ear wax.

In our setting, we can perform ear syringing, a simple procedure to flush the impacted wax out. Clients will have instant relieve from the symptoms caused by the impacted ear wax.

CASE 5: FOREIGN BODY IN RIGHT EAR:

30 years old gentleman, came to us with right ear blocked sensation for weeks. He has no pain, no discharge, no fever. He had history of cleaning his ear with cotton bud occasionally.

Otoscopy showed presence of foreign body in the right ear canal, which seem likely to be a cotton bud.

Thus ear syringing was performed.
