3 years old boy, brought in my mother for consultation.
Mother expressed concern regarding the boy who might accidentally swallowed a coin. Boy is otherwise well, no symptoms.
Abdominal X-ray done showed a oval to round radio-opaque shadow over the L1 region. Ingested foreign body is a twenty cents Malaysia coin.
Family was advised to go back and to monitor for bowel obstruction symptoms, and to do inspection every time the child pass motion.
Repeat abdominal Xray one week later as below:
No more foreign body, child is active, feeding normally.
